Gov. Makinde approves 13th-month salary, pays LAUTECH arrears
Gov Makinde
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the payment of the 2025 13th-month salary bonus for all state workers.
Makinde made the announcement today at the Executive Chamber, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, during the inauguration of the governing board of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
He noted that the 13th-month salary has been a consistent practice since he assumed office in 2019. The governor also approved the payment of outstanding salaries and minimum wage arrears owed to LAUTECH workers.
Makinde further assured that the industrial action by the institution’s medical lecturers would soon be resolved.
Charging the newly inaugurated governing board, he tasked them with revamping the Oyo annex of the teaching hospital within 12 months, pledging government support to make the facility fully operational.
Speaking on behalf of the board, Oyelaran-Oyeyinka thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve and promised to implement policies that would transform the teaching hospital into a world-class institution.
The board is chaired by Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, with Aderemi Adediji as secretary. Other members include Gabriel Oyelade, Adebayo Taiwo, Agnes Isola, Kehinde Ayinde, Adebayo Olakulehin, Adenike Olugbenga-Bello and Oluwajoba Olayinka.
