FG gives update on recruitment into paramilitary services
The Federal Government has temporarily suspended the ongoing online recruitment exercise into the nation’s paramilitary services until July 21, 2025.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announced the suspension in a statement issued on Thursday by its Secretary, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jubril.
Jubril explained that the move was aimed at optimising the performance of the recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — to accommodate the large volume of applications being received.
“The suspension is necessary to improve the portal’s functionality and to ensure a seamless, transparent, and efficient recruitment process,” he said.
He also appreciated the high level of interest shown by young Nigerians eager to serve the nation through the paramilitary services.
The recruitment exercise, which initially commenced on July 2, had already been rescheduled to begin on July 14 before the latest suspension.
The agencies involved in the exercise include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
