The Federal Government has officially shut down the 2025 recruitment portal of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)
after receiving an overwhelming 1,909,995 applications for just 30,000 available positions.

Although the exercise was scheduled to end on August 11, the portal stopped accepting submissions a day earlier, on August 10.

According to the board, shortlisted candidates will be contacted in the coming weeks via email and SMS for the next stage of the recruitment process.

In a statement, CDCFIB expressed appreciation to applicants for their interest in serving the nation, urging them to regularly check the official recruitment portal and monitor their communication channels for updates.
