Fani-Kayode speaks on contesting for NFF Chairmanship
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has dismissed reports linking him to the chairmanship of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Fani-Kayode described the claims as “fake news,” stressing that he has no knowledge of or interest in football administration.
“I know nothing about the NFF, I have no interest in the NFF or who leads it. I have not been approached or nominated for such a position by anyone, and if I had, I would have respectfully declined,” he said.
The former minister further clarified that stories suggesting he was in the race, or had withdrawn to support another candidate, were false and should be disregarded.
He urged the public to rely only on his official website and verified accounts on X, Facebook, and Instagram for authentic information about him.
