Veteran Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe, renowned for his role in the classic TV adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, has died peacefully at 80.
He passed away around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, his family confirmed.
Adibe gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Ogbuefi Uzowulu, acting alongside Pete Edochie.
He began his acting career in 1987 and was also part of Nigeria’s delegation to the first Commonwealth Art Festival in 1965.
Celebrity journalist Seun Oloketuyi also mourned the actor on his on Instagram, honoring Adibe’s enduring contributions to Nollywood.
Family and fans are mourning his loss while celebrating his legacy.
