Aliko Dangote
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N850 to N820 per litre, effective August 12, 2025.
This price adjustment was disclosed in a statement signed by Anthony Chiejina, Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group.
The refinery reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s economic development by ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products across the country.
In a bid to enhance operational efficiency and promote environmentally friendly practices, Dangote Petroleum Refinery also plans to commence the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution nationwide starting August 15, 2025.
This initiative is part of Dangote’s broader strategy to adopt sustainable energy solutions and improve logistics in the petroleum supply chain.
The refinery’s price reduction and innovative distribution plans are expected to positively impact fuel availability and affordability in Nigeria, supporting both consumers and the nation’s economy.
