Cristiano Ronaldo gets engaged to Georgina Rodriguez after nearly a decade together
Cristiano Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and Al Nassr captain, has officially proposed to his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, ending years of speculation about their future.
On Monday, Georgina took to Instagram to share the happy news, posting a photo of her sparkling diamond ring resting on Ronaldo’s hand. She captioned the post simply: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The couple, who have been together for nine years, have often been asked when they would tie the knot.
Earlier this year, Georgina added to the buzz when she shared a photo of herself wearing a different ring. At last year’s Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, Ronaldo surprised fans by calling her his “wife.”
When asked about their engagement timeline, Ronaldo said, “I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ Like everything in life, she knows what I mean. It could be a year, six months, or just a month from now. I’m 1,000 percent sure it will happen.”
Together, Ronaldo and Georgina share two children and raise his three other children as a blended family.
