Chelle unveils 24-man Super Eagles squad for World Cup playoff against Gabon

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named a 24-man squad for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash with Gabon, with Victor Osimhen and Tolu Arokodare spearheading the attack, and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye returning to the team.
Several players who missed the October international window are also back, including defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel and Chidozie Awaziem, midfielder Raphael Onyedika, and winger Chidera Ejuke.
Nigeria qualified for the playoffs as one of the best runners-up in Group C. The Super Eagles will meet the Panthers of Gabon in the semi-final on Thursday, November 13, at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in Rabat, Morocco, with the winner facing Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final on Sunday, November 16.
