Sudan’s head coach, Kwesi Appiah, took a jab at Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, following Sudan’s resounding 4-0 defeat of Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Speaking after the match, Appiah stated, “The Nigerian team is not bad. They just need better coaching.”
He also expressed surprise at the emphatic scoreline, adding, “I wasn’t expecting that scoreline. I knew we could beat Nigeria but not 4-0.”
The goals came from an own goal by Leonard Ngenge, and strikes from Walieldin Khedr and Abdel Raouf, who netted twice.
The loss has resulted in Eric Chelle’s team crashing out of the competition.
