CAC removes 247 companies from database

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has disclaimed the purported incorporation of 247 companies, declaring them non-existent in law.
In a statement on its official X handle on Friday, the Commission said the affected names have been expunged from its database, adding that they were never properly registered as limited liability companies.
It explained that the Certificate of Incorporation (RC) numbers allegedly linked to the firms had never been issued to any entity.
The CAC urged the public to ignore any claims suggesting the companies operate as legitimate legal persons.
