The Super Eagles booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after a comprehensive 4–0 victory over Mozambique in Fes on Monday.

Nigeria took control of the contest in the 20th minute when Ademola Lookman powered a shot beyond goalkeeper Hernâni Siluane to open the scoring.

Victor Osimhen made it 2–0 five minutes later, finishing off a flowing move after Lookman’s precise delivery found the striker unmarked in the box.

The Galatasaray forward struck again shortly after the restart, completing his brace in the 47th minute with a close-range finish following another intelligent pass from Lookman.

Nigeria’s dominance was capped in the 75th minute when Adams fired home the fourth goal, sealing an emphatic win.

Mozambique were largely outplayed, managing few meaningful chances despite a handful of saves from Siluane and substitute goalkeeper Urrubal. Nigeria controlled the game from start to finish, combining discipline with attacking sharpness.

The Super Eagles now move on with confidence as they continue their AFCON campaign.
