BREAKING: Ademola Lookman submits transfer request amid Inter Milan interest

Super Eagles star, Ademola Lookman, has formally submitted a transfer request to his club, Atalanta, as tensions rise over a potential move to Inter Milan, republican.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian forward is reportedly upset with Atalanta’s refusal to accept multiple offers from Inter and has now taken a decisive step to push for the transfer.

This development was confirmed by respected football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

“EXCL: Ademola Lookman has now handed in a transfer request,” Romano wrote. “The Nigerian forward has officially asked Atalanta to leave the club after Italian side rejected Inter opening bid. Lookman wants to join Inter.”

Lookman, who played a key role in Atalanta’s successful 2023/2024 season, including their Europa League triumph, is eager to make the switch to the San Siro.

As the summer transfer window progresses, pressure mounts on Atalanta to respond to the player’s demand, while Inter Milan continues to pursue the talented winger.

At the time of this report, Atalanta has not issued an official response to Lookman’s transfer request.
