Ballon d’Or 2025 award: Organisers release names of nominees (FULL LIST)

France Football, the organizers of the prestigious Ballon d’Or, on Thursday announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2025 edition of the award.
The list, compiled by leading football journalists worldwide, was unveiled across France Football’s official social media channels.
Top names on the shortlist include Ousmane Dembele (Paris Saint-Germain), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain), and Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal).
Others nominated are Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona), Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund), and Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan).
According to observers, this year’s award race is expected to be tightly contested between Yamal, Dembele, and Mbappe, who have all enjoyed standout performances this season.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place on September 22 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
