Arsenal have completed the signing of England international Noni Madueke from Chelsea in a deal worth £52 million.

The 23-year-old winger joins the Gunners on a five-year contract, with the North London club set to pay £48.5 million up front and an additional £3.5 million in performance-based add-ons.

Madueke becomes Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, midfielder Martin Zubimendi, and defensive midfielder Christian Norgaard.

Primarily deployed on the right wing but comfortable on either flank, Madueke is expected to add depth and dynamism to Arsenal’s attack. His move is the latest in a string of high-profile switches between the London rivals, making him the seventh player in recent years to join Arsenal from Chelsea, alongside the likes of Kai Havertz, Jorginho, Willian, and David Luiz.

Madueke joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in 2023 for £29 million and went on to score 20 goals in 92 appearances. He played a key role in Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League triumph last season and featured in their Club World Cup victory in the United States.

Reflecting on his decision to join Arsenal, Madueke said: “I’ve spoken to Declan [Rice], Myles, Bukayo, and Jurrien, and they all spoke highly of the club—how warm the environment is and how much of a family it feels like.”

He added: “I want to help the team compete for every trophy. I believe we have the squad to do that.”

Madueke’s departure comes as Chelsea continue to overhaul their squad, with recent attacking additions including Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, Joao Pedro from Brighton, and Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
