APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda loses mother
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has lost his mother, Lydia Yilwatda.
Mama Lydia, aged 83, passed away on Saturday at the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
Confirming the development, the APC Plateau State Publicity Secretary, Shittu Bamaiyi, described her passing as a great loss to the state and the country.
“APC in Plateau State received with shock the sad news of the death of the mother of its National Chairman, Mama Lydia Yilwatda,” the statement read in part.
Her death comes just weeks after Prof. Yilwatda assumed office as APC’s National Chairman, following the resignation of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in July 2025.
