Aisha Buhari relocates to late President Buhari’s Kaduna residence
Aisha Buhari warmly welcomed by a delegation headed by Kaduna Deputy Governor
Former First Lady Aisha Buhari and her family have relocated to the Kaduna residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Her arrival was warmly received by a delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.
The Kaduna residence holds significant personal history, as it was President Buhari’s last place of residence in Nigeria before traveling to London for medical treatment. He passed away on June 13, 2025, at a clinic in London, following a battle with an undisclosed illness.
On June 15, his remains were flown back to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State, where he was laid to rest. The former president was given a state burial, accompanied by full military honours.
