Ahmed Musa debunks car gift allegation as Kano Pillars GM

Ahmed Musa, newly appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars Football Club, has refuted viral claims alleging that he distributed cars to players and officials upon assuming office.
The false claims stemmed from a Facebook post by one Thomas Jeremiah Gora, who shared images of Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs, alleging they were gifted by Musa to the entire team on his first day in charge.
In a statement released from the club’s headquarters, Musa described the report as “entirely untrue” and urged the public and media to rely on credible sources before sharing such information.
“Spreading unverified news not only misleads the public but also undermines the integrity of the club and its leadership,” the Super Eagles captain stated.
He reassured fans and stakeholders that his focus remains on building a disciplined and successful team, emphasizing that he would not be distracted by baseless rumours.
Musa also called for unity and cooperation within the club, stressing transparency, accountability, and integrity as core principles of his leadership. He encouraged supporters to back Kano Pillars as they begin a new chapter under his guidance.
