Again, Adeleke dispels defection rumours, flags off road projects in Osun

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has debunked rumours of his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), affirming his unwavering commitment to the party and the people of the state.
Speaking on Monday during the official flag-off of the 3.5km Ila township road dualisation project in Ila-Orangun, Governor Adeleke dismissed speculations about his political future, stating emphatically that he remains a loyal member of the PDP.
“I am going nowhere. I remain in the PDP,” Adeleke declared. “I have vowed to my God and the good people of the State that I am committed to serving them, and I will never be distracted from my vow to serve.”
The governor highlighted his administration’s achievements, noting the successful reconstruction, rehabilitation, and renovation of over 175 kilometres of roads across Osun State. He also mentioned that several dualisation and flyover projects are ongoing in various parts of the state.
Later, at the flag-off ceremony for the dualisation of the Ikirun-Ila-Odo Expressway, Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to infrastructural development, emphasizing the importance of completing the 39km stretch linking Osogbo to Ila-Odo, a boundary town with Kwara State.
“The second phase, which we are flagging off today, is almost the same length as what was completed in 12 years. By the grace of God, we intend to deliver this project within 12 months,” he stated.
Governor Adeleke described the projects as a testament to divine purpose and destiny, expressing confidence in his administration’s ability to deliver lasting infrastructure for the benefit of Osun residents.
“Our gathering here to witness the materialisation of a new era is not an accident of history,” he said. “We are all programmed by Almighty God to be what we have been, what we are and what we will be in future.”
The governor’s remarks come amid speculation over his political alignment, but his latest statements and actions signal a firm focus on governance and party loyalty.
