Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has sparked reactions after highlighting personal happiness over societal expectations in marriage.

Speaking at a recent event in Lagos, Bovi emphasized that individuals should prioritize fulfillment over public perception.

According to Instablog, Bovi said, “Some people like to announce their divorce and some don’t. All that matters is your happiness.”

He referenced examples from the Nigerian entertainment industry, noting how celebrities have made choices that favor their happiness. “Uche jumped out of marriage and nobody knew. 2Face is the only man who left one marriage into the next marriage and successfully skipped divorce process,” he added.
