Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face has made a candid public confession about his personal life, saying he has put an end to fathering children outside committed relationships.
The music icon made the disclosure in Benin City during the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show, moments before mounting the stage to perform.
Addressing the audience in Pidgin English, 2Baba said he felt the need to speak openly in order to correct public perceptions surrounding his past.
“But see, I get confession. I dey make this confession everywhere I go now to set the record straight. I don stop to dey do that kind of thing. I don stop to dey give belle anyhow. I swear, ask anybody now, they will tell you that I’m innocent,” he said.
The singer has for years been the subject of public discussion due to his relationships with multiple women and having children outside marriage.
2Baba’s first known baby mama is Sumbo Adeoye, with whom he has two sons, Zion and Nino. Their relationship reportedly ended around 2009 following revelations of his involvement with other women.
He also has three children with his second baby mama, Pero Adeniyi, born between 2006 and 2012.
With his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, the singer shares two daughters. Their marriage, which began in 2012, reportedly ended in divorce in 2025 after years of publicised marital challenges.
More recently, 2Baba welcomed a child with his new partner, Natasha Osawaru. The relationship has continued to attract public attention, especially amid reports of a controversial marriage.
The singer’s latest comments appear to signal an attempt to address long-standing narratives about his private life and project a renewed personal image.
