2027: PDP schedules South-West Zonal Caucus meeting for July 11

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that its South-West Zonal Caucus meeting will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the party’s South-West Zonal Secretariat in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by the PDP National Vice Chairman (South-West), Kamorudeen Ajisafe.
According to the statement, the meeting will be chaired by Ajisafe, alongside members of the Zonal Working Committee. The invitation also extends to several categories of party stakeholders from the region.
Expected attendees include serving and former Presidents and Vice Presidents from the South-West who remain members of the party, as well as serving and former Governors and Deputy Governors from the region.
Others invited are current and past members of the National Assembly and National Executive Committee from the South-West who are affiliated with the PDP. Also listed are state party Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, and Secretaries, along with Speakers and Deputy Speakers of State Houses of Assembly.
The caucus meeting will also host former Ministers, Secretaries to the Government of the Federation, Ambassadors, Special Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants to the President—all from the South-West and still active within the PDP.
Additionally, former Chairmen of Federal Boards and Parastatals from the region and three physically challenged members recognized by the caucus have been invited.
The meeting is expected to focus on regional strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
